The Mei-ling Palace, situated on the highest point of Xiaohong Hill in eastern Nanjing city, was at one time the home of China's previous president Chiang Kai-shek and his wife Soong Mayling before they fled to Taiwan in 1949 toward the end of the Chinese common war. For quite a long time, the building was kept as a state guesthouse and shut to general society until two years back, when the manor was remodeled and its entryways tossed open to the general population. From the air, the house takes after a goliath emerald and the finishing around it would appear that a pendant and accessory. As per neighborhood bits of gossip, the house was assembled as a birthday present by Chiang for his wife Soong Mayling, and was composed that route as an image of adoration between the couple.
